Small-sided Football leagues operating in Sussex that support us by making regular donations and by purchasing our synthetic footballs to use across all of their leagues. We communicate regularly with 5s to discuss other initiatives and ways to generate both funds and awareness over their media channels.

The Angus Lawson Memorial Trust makes targeted grants to organisations working towards its shared mission to mitigate the suffering of children Worldwide. The team build partnerships with grant recipients offering advice and support, digital and media coverage and fundraising assistance.

Arsenal in the Community offers a gap programme which involves young coaches from London working on international community projects. We have worked with Arsenal ‘Gappers’ in Ghana and Kenya and have provided balls for Arsenal’s other African programmes.

Better libraries in south London are home to the ‘Better Football Libraries’, providing access to footballs which can be loaned just like books. You can find your nearest Better football library here.

Comic Relief is supporting an initiative from Alive and Kicking Ghana in which entrepreneurs are supplied with footballs and tasked with selling them on for a profit. Their income is then re-invested in micro-enterprises, including the purchase and sale of more Alive and Kicking balls. The entrepreneurs are also given training to help them acquire the skills to make a success of this venture and their other start-up ideas.

EA supported Alive and Kicking with the launch of the second season of AKFC. The AKFC shirt, designed by Hey Big Man, was featured in Fifa21 and could be unlocked by completing in-game challenges. EA helped to bring unprecedented attention to our work through their support of the campaign.

Feed Me Light is an animation studio based in Hoxton that helped to transform Alive and Kicking’s branding and production practices. Denis and Kiri first visited the store in 2016 and offered to develop a file that could create 3D renders of footballs, so we could help customers visualise their designs before making a physical sample. If you’ve seen a cool looking football made by us since 2016, it’s 99% certain that this file was used to design it. Transformational.

Fourfeet are a London-based design agency – a studio of designers, developers and content makers. They combine creativity and enthusiasm with a clear understanding of business issues to produce design that is original and intelligent. In 2018 and 2019 Fourfeet gave their time and expertise to redesign and build Alive and Kicking’s new website and annual review.

HeyBigMan is a creative agency  that puts communities at the heart of design. From consultation to co-design workshops, their input and ideas enhance organisations and build harmony. Since 2020, HeyBigMan have supported Alive and Kicking with the development of AKFC.

Jersey 2 Africa 4 Football (“J2A”)  is dedicated to positively impacting young lives using the power of football and has been working closely with AK since 2015 and exclusively uses AK for all their football requirements covering tournaments, events and campaigns both in Jersey for fundraising and in Africa for kids tournaments and philanthropic distribution to grass roots beneficiaries to schools and academies across Kenya and further afield in Uganda, Rwanda and South Africa.

Sport England awarded Alive and Kicking with funding to develop the first ever national ‘Ball Library’ network. Tackle Africa deliver HIV education through football coaching to young people across Africa. They partner with us on our HIV education programmes in Kenya and Zambia, and have even trained some of our stitchers to become peer educators and football coaches.

The Trafigura Foundation is the charitable arm of global commodities trader Trafigura. The ethos of the Foundation is to have a genuine impact on the projects it supports and it is achieving that with Alive and Kicking. Specifically, the foundation has given its support to Alive and Kicking Zambia and was the major funder of Alive and Kicking Ghana.

European football’s governing body have sponsored 94,000 balls to be distributed to children in Africa and elsewhere and have used our synthetic balls with youth groups in Europe.

United Dragons FC is a junior football club based in Regent’s Park, North London. Founded by Daryl Moore in 2008, UDFC is a fun-driven football club which aims to provide all it’s members with the opportunity to develop not only as footballers but also as individuals.

They believe that using age appropriate and engaging weekly training sessions, enables all players to enjoy playing football whilst being able to socialise, grow in confidence and broaden their technical and tactical understanding of the “beautiful game.” Together we are ensuring that young people have access to a durable sports ball throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency teamed up with Alive and Kicking in 2021 for their annual Refugee Art Contest. 1,6000 young artists from around the world submitted designs, of which 5 were chosen by a celebrity panel to be brought to life as footballs.

Urban Mesh Design is a London based Architecture studio with an established history of creating bespoke solutions to complex design briefs. Since 2019 Urban Mesh have worked with us to help develop Alive and Kicking’s new range of synthetic footballs which is critical to the endurance of the success of their footballs on the African continent and beyond.

 

Westminster School has a long association with Alive and Kicking. Our founder, the late Jim Cogan, was deputy head at the school and he is still fondly thought. Current and former pupils at the school have helped to shape Alive and Kicking through the years, by volunteering, joining the team or taking part in amazing fundraising feats of endurance.

Without Zambeef Alive and Kicking Zambia may not exist – we stitch balls on their Zamleather site, they provide us with leather and they buy our balls for donation to Zambian children.
