Alive and Kicking Football Library Network

Thanks to support from Sport England, Better and a network of fantastic community organisations, Alive and Kicking have opened over 250 football libraries across the UK – but we don’t want to stop there.

The Project

The concept is simple – young people can borrow a ball for free from their local ball library hub, play with it, and then bring it back. The aim is to increase access to sport and increase the use of local pitches, playgrounds, and parks.

We are preparing to grow our network even further so although we are not currently sending out ball library packs, you can still sign up to our waiting list if you are interested in becoming part of the network in the near future. Please see below for more details.

Who Are Alive and Kicking?

Alive and Kicking are the world’s only not for profit ball manufacturer and produce a FIFA standard ball that is proven to last eight times longer than a standard synthetic ball. In addition, each ball creates social impact by supporting communities across the globe facing disadvantage.

A simple monitoring form to record how many times the library balls are used and how many young people play with them.
